Essential Duties And Responsibilities

We are seeking an intern to assist with research and development of advanced AI-Enabled Services for mobile networks. This is a part time position from June 2026 to Nov 2026. The intern shall perform the following duties and shall have the following qualifications:

• Research and Development in Agentic AI services for 5G/6G wireless technologies.
• Develop state-of-the-art technologies for enabling end-to-end realization of AI-enabled services in 5G/6G systems.
• Architecture and design of next-generation AI-enabled services (e.g., Agentic AI), as well as novel methods to interwork these services with select RAN/gNB functions, UE protocol stack functions, Core Network functions, and applications.
• Implementing and interpreting functional and performance improvements of Agentic AI services implemented within a 5G/6G testbed platform.
• Writing publications and representing InterDigital at conferences/symposiums.
  
  

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in PhD in Computer Engineering or Electrical Communication Engineering.
• Must have expertise in 5G/6G testbeds and simulation tools such as OpenAirInterface (OAI) and NS-3.
• Must have a strong background in AI/ML for wireless communications and 5G/6G communications technologies.
• Proficient in C, Python, Pytorch programming.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong team player.
