Duties and Responsibilities

As Spa Receptionist, I will assume full responsibility for the efficient operation in the following:
  • Check and assist with the setup of daily operations of the spa reception according to Ihg's standards.
  • Make, reconfirm and verify guest bookings and manage appointment cards or appointment schedules for the following day.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the reception area and spa concentrating on front of house areas.
  • Remove and replace towels and amenities in the spa common areas (included wet areas) as needed.
  • Ensure retail is offered appropriately to the guests and retail area is set up as per standards.
  • Answer the telephone and email communications.
  • Handle guest complaints and record all guest comments accordingly.

Qualifications
To execute the position of Spa Receptionist, I must have the required qualifications, technical skills and experience in a similar role in luxury hotels with proven results and includes the following:

  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years’ experience in a similar luxury spas and health clubs with proven references. Hospitality diploma/degree from a recognized hospitality school is preferred.
  • Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. I keep myself updated with the latest trends in fitness and wellness.

The expected schedule for this part-time position is weekends only:

Friday: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Sunday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM

The hourly rate for this role is $17.75. This is the starting rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may pay more or less than the posted rate, and the rate may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.
