Role Description The Conference Services Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Washington, DC. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of meetings and events, from initial client inquiry through post-event follow-up, ensuring seamless execution and high levels of guest satisfaction. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating event details with clients, preparing Banquet Event Orders, collaborating with sales, catering, and operations teams, and overseeing room setups, audio-visual needs, and food and beverage service. The role also involves monitoring event timelines, resolving issues in real time, and maintaining clear communication with internal departments and external vendors. The Conference Services Manager will analyze event performance, support revenue and upselling opportunities, and ensure all events align with InterContinental brand standards and safety guidelines.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Conference Services and Convention Services skills, with experience coordinating complex meetings and events.
- Candidates should possess Meeting Planning and Event Planning abilities, including attention to detail, timeline management, and logistics coordination.
- Candidates should possess a focus on Customer Satisfaction, with proven ability to build client relationships and respond effectively to guest needs.
