Manager, QA Automation

Overview

Job Purpose

ICE Mortgage Technology is seeking a QA Automation Manager who will manage a team of QA Analysts and drive both manual and automation testing efforts for the Servicing Digital platform. This is a working, technical manager role responsible for developing and executing testing scenarios while mentoring QA teams towards automation expertise.

Responsibilities

• Determines test methodology and test data setup
• Actively participate in grooming, planning and daily standups
• Design, implement, and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium for UI testing and ReadyAPI/SoapUI/Postman for API testing across multiple environments.
• Works closely with Engineering to implement automated test scripts in the various code deployment environments’ pipelines
• Works closely with Developers, QA and other project team members to analyze test results, locate problems, identify root causes and develop solutions
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
• Regularly evaluates industry automated testing tools and champions if a good fit to provide significant automation testing lift
• Conducts internal studies and/or audits on client and product development/engineering or operations team activities to evaluate if processes and deliverables fulfill the requirements for quality, to uncover errors or deficiencies in processes and deliverables, and to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement; studies and audits include issues such as profitability, productivity, and quality.
• Monitors testing procedures to ensure consistency and compliance with standard processes required in the SDLC.
• Contributes to the tactical and strategic planning for future QA/testing programs.
• Stays current with process-related industry standards.
• Communicates quality information throughout the organization.
• Support the development and delivery of training in quality matters.
• Leads and mentors team of QA Analysts
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
• 7 years' of experience working as a dedicated QA Engineer
• Previous Technical Team Lead or Technical Manager experience preferred
• Excellent knowledge and expertise of both manual and automated testing practices
• Experience with Selenium for test automation
• Experience working with API testing and automation tools like Postman, Groovy Scripting, or ReadyAPI
• Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Groovy, Python, or JavaScript for automation scripting
• Thorough knowledge and use of process improvement and quality management methods, tools, and technology used to create and support defect-free, application software or business operations processes for which the quality program will be focused
• Considerable knowledge of the basic principles, processes, phases and roles of application development methodologies and software development life cycles (SDLC)
• Ability to work collaboratively with Product and Development teams to achieve project goals
