Responsibilities:

The Applications Development Expert provides design recommendations based on long-term IT organization strategy. The position shall use a variety of platforms to provide automated systems applications to customers. This individual will be viewed both internally and externally as a technical expert and critical technical resource across multiple disciplines. His/her responsibilities include performing the following tasks:

A. Lead the design, development, and maintenance of Qlik Sense dashboards and reports

B. Translate business requirements into technical solutions that provide actionable insights

C. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather reporting needs and ensure optimal user experience

D. Manage and mentor a team of BI developers, providing guidance and ensuring best practices

E. Optimize Qlik Sense data models and visualizations for performance and scalability

F. Ensure data accuracy, security, and governance across reporting platforms

G. Drive automation and standardization of recurring reporting processes

H. Monitor usage and performance of dashboards, and implement enhancements as needed

I. Stay current with Qlik Sense capabilities, industry BI trends and emerging technologies

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field or equivalent work experience. (Note: A Master’s degree is preferred.)
• Seven (7) years of IT and business/industry work experience.
• Three (3) years as a technical expert in an IT organization. This individual coaches and mentors the junior technical staff. The position will also provide technical input into the most complex and high impact IT decisions. This individual will be accountable for the most complex enterprise-wide applications and issues, translating highly complex concepts for peers and customers. The position must have in-depth knowledge of state-of-the art programming languages and object-oriented approach in designing, coding, testing and debugging programs
• Experience with other BI tools (QuickSight, Tableau) is a plus
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS
• Knowledge of ETL processes and tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend)
• Certification in Qlik Sense or other BI Platforms
