Position Summary: The Automation Systems Technician is responsible for ensuring the reliable performance, uptime, and efficiency of the organizations automated warehouse systems. This includes Geek AMRs, Mujin robotics, the Warehouse Execution System (WES), and the Robot Management System (RMS). This role serves as the primary on-site expert for monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimizing automation systems, ensuring that workflows execute as designed and performance targets are achieved. The technician plays a critical role in bridging Operations, IT, and vendor partners while driving continuous improvement across automated processes.

Work Hours Available:
12 Hrs. Day Shift - 5:00 am - 5:00 pm *** Rotating Shift, Work Every other Weekend ***
12 Hrs. Night Shift - 5:00 pm - 5:00 am *** Rotating Shift, Work Every other Weekend ***
Key Responsibilities - Automation System Monitoring & Support:
- Monitor system performance, throughput, and workflow execution.
- Own system uptime and performance during assigned shifts.
- Diagnose and resolve automation alarms, robot faults, and disruptions.
- Serve as WES & RMS SME.
- Escalate complex issues.
Efficiency & Process Optimization:
- Analyze dashboards and utilization trends.
- Provide operational guidance.
- Identify performance gaps and recommend improvements.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
- Perform scheduled maintenance on robots and infrastructure.
- Execute corrective repairs.
- Maintain documentation.
System & Data Integrity:
- Monitor data flow between WMS, WES, RMS.
- Resolve inconsistencies.
- Support testing and system updates.
Collaboration & Communication:
Partner with Operations, IT, Engineering. Train personnel. Communicate system status and risks.
Qualifications:
Required: Automation or robotics experience, troubleshooting skills, system diagnostics, strong analytical ability.
Preferred: Geek , Mujin, Blue Yonder, WES/RMS, Lean/Six Sigma.
Physical Requirements:
Lift up to 50 lbs. Work around robotics. Flexible schedule required.
Role Impact:
Ensures stability, efficiency, and scalability of warehouse automation while acting as SME for WES/RMS.
