Loan Administrator

Interamerican Bank is seeking a Loan Administrator who will be a key member of the Loan Operations team and will be responsible for the overall quality control of the Bank’s loan portfolio by managing, administrating, reporting, and maintaining credit and policy loan exceptions, including the OCC mandatory trend analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for performing appropriate reviews and maintaining controls to mitigate operational risk by reviewing and validating the exception’s data integrity
• Ensure controls around loan portfolio approval conditions and policy exceptions are in place
• Booking of new and renewal residential, commercial, and HELOC loans in the Fiserv Cleartouch loan system
• Complete teller functions such as reparation of mortgage checks for payments of invoices, Insurances, and any other items billed
• Reconcile assigned loan operation’s general ledger accounts.
• Any training of additional support staff and cross-train as back-up for the Loan Operation’s team.
• Prepare board presentations (Excel/PowerPoint) as needed
• Assisting in any audit reviews
• Work on special project requests
• Other duties may be assigned by management

Competencies:

• Ability to speak English and Spanish clearly
• Writes clearly and informatively in English
• High school diploma, or equivalent education and related training (Associate’s degree desired)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to master computer keyboard and software skills necessary for branch automation
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations with accuracy
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to complete annual required training
• Ability to lift 30 lbs.
• Works with integrity and ethically
• Follows instructions and responds to management direction
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

Experience:

• Two years of loan operations experience
• Two years of bank experience
