About the Opportunity
Our client is an employee-owned general contractor with a strong reputation for delivering complex projects across healthcare, education, multifamily, and commercial markets. As they continue to expand their Indianapolis operations, they are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
This position is ideal for a construction leader who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys building strong client relationships, and has a proven track record managing projects valued between $20M and $50M .
What You'll Do
As Senior Project Manager, you will serve as the primary leader responsible for project execution, financial performance, client satisfaction, and team coordination. You will partner closely with executives, superintendents, subcontractors, and owners to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple construction projects from planning and procurement through completion and turnover
- Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, forecasts, and financial reporting
- Manage client relationships and serve as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle
- Direct subcontractor procurement, contract administration, and change management processes
- Collaborate with field leadership to ensure project milestones, quality standards, and safety requirements are achieved
- Conduct project reviews, progress meetings, and executive updates
- Identify project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies
- Review drawings, specifications, and contract documents to ensure scope alignment and project success
- Coordinate with estimating, accounting, and operations teams to drive overall project performance
- Oversee project closeout activities including punch lists, final documentation, occupancy requirements, and warranty turnover
What We're Looking For
- 8 years of project management experience with a commercial general contractor
- Proven experience managing projects ranging from $20M-$50M
- Strong background in one or more of the following sectors:
- Healthcare Construction (highly preferred)
- K-12 / Education Construction
- Multifamily Construction
- Commercial Construction
- Demonstrated success managing complex schedules, budgets, and project teams
- Strong communication and client-facing leadership skills
- Experience utilizing construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar platforms
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field preferred
Compensation & Benefits
- Senior Project Manager: $135,000 - $155,000 base salary
