Job description
An Inside Sales/Customer Service is primarily a customer service function and entails selling or introducing products to established clients, in close conjunction with outside sales. Customer interfacing includes requests for quotations, lead times, order placement, expediting, or changes, the building of quotations, writing orders, and communicating pertinent information proactively back to customers. Inside Sales/Customer Services handles the project execution actions and overall coordination of these service activities between the purchasing coordinator and outside sales.
- Responsibilities
Cooperate with the Account Manager to determine strategic approaches for sales.
Process sales orders from customers and communicate the changes with the related departments.
Contact customers following sales to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction and resolve any complaints.
Coordinate with the Purchase Coordinator for status on orders to ensure the delivery commitment to customers is met.
Monitor scheduled shipment dates to ensure timely delivery and expedite as needed.
Inform customers of production schedules and deadlines.
Coordinate with Warehouse and Purchase Coordinator for the inbound and outbound shipments.
Assist in scheduled physical inventory counts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
- Organization Relationships
The Inside Sales/Customer Services reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.
