Lead Technician Responsibilities
- Ensure customers have a great experience.
- Supervise and train junior technicians in advanced installation techniques.
- Install complex electronic systems such as distributed audio/video systems, home theater systems, lighting control systems, shades, and security systems.
- Perform advanced configuration of integrated systems.
- Diagnose complex problems with automation, audio/video, and networking equipment.
- Install cabling in new and existing construction.
- Strip, dress, and terminate cables on wall plates, patch panels, and equipment.
- Install speakers and other equipment into or on ceilings and walls.
- Install equipment into a 19" rack with detailed cable management.
- Use and follow cable plans and system connection diagrams.
- Safely use hand and power tools.
- Maintain company vehicle including cleaning and organization.
- Work independently and lead others to complete assigned tasks.
- Interact with customers and present a professional appearance.
Requirements
- Technical aptitude and experience with home automation.
- Crestron, Control4, Savant, and/or Lutron experiencerequired.
- Ability to communicate with clarity, professionalism, and sensitivity with co-workers and clients.
- Desire to be hands-on and provide great customer service.
- Complete work with accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
- At least five years experience in the low voltage audio/video installation field (NOT audio/video production or engineering)
- High school diploma.
- A clean driving record must be maintained at all times (background checks will be conducted).
- Candidates must supply basic hand tools.
- Some travel.
