Senior Smart Home Automation Technician

Lead Technician Responsibilities

• Ensure customers have a great experience.
• Supervise and train junior technicians in advanced installation techniques.
• Install complex electronic systems such as distributed audio/video systems, home theater systems, lighting control systems, shades, and security systems.
• Perform advanced configuration of integrated systems.
• Diagnose complex problems with automation, audio/video, and networking equipment.
• Install cabling in new and existing construction.
• Strip, dress, and terminate cables on wall plates, patch panels, and equipment.
• Install speakers and other equipment into or on ceilings and walls.
• Install equipment into a 19" rack with detailed cable management.
• Use and follow cable plans and system connection diagrams.
• Safely use hand and power tools.
• Maintain company vehicle including cleaning and organization.
• Work independently and lead others to complete assigned tasks.
• Interact with customers and present a professional appearance.

Requirements

• Technical aptitude and experience with home automation.
• Crestron, Control4, Savant, and/or Lutron experiencerequired.
• Ability to communicate with clarity, professionalism, and sensitivity with co-workers and clients.
• Desire to be hands-on and provide great customer service.
• Complete work with accuracy and excellent attention to detail.
• At least five years experience in the low voltage audio/video installation field (NOT audio/video production or engineering)
• High school diploma.
• A clean driving record must be maintained at all times (background checks will be conducted).
• Candidates must supply basic hand tools.
• Some travel.
