Shipping/Receiving & Inventory Specialist
Location: Bellefonte, PA
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift
Day shift on-site; must cover afternoon carrier pickups (~4:00–4:30).
InterAction24 is recruiting for a Shipping/Receiving & Inventory Specialist for an established manufacturing company in Bellefonte, PA.
This is a hands-on shipping, receiving, and inventory position within a smaller manufacturing environment. The role requires someone who is comfortable taking ownership of incoming and outgoing material, maintaining accurate inventory, preparing customer shipments, and ensuring that quantities and documentation are correct.
This is not simply a picker/packer position. Accuracy, organization, and dependability are extremely important. The person selected will work closely with production and other internal departments and will be responsible for making sure materials and finished products are accounted for correctly throughout the shipping and receiving process.
Responsibilities
- Perform daily shipping and receiving activities for incoming materials and outgoing customer orders.
- Verify incoming material, packing slips, quantities, and purchase orders for accuracy.
- Receive material into the company’s ERP system.
- Identify and report discrepancies involving quantities, documentation, or incoming material.
- Maintain an organized and accurate stockroom.
- Track material moving into and out of inventory.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts, bin locations, and stock records.
- Process inventory requisitions and assist with periodic inventory counts.
- Verify finished parts and quantities prior to shipment.
- Ensure the number of pieces being shipped matches the purchase order, packing slip, shipping documentation, and system records.
- Review customer shipping requirements and instructions.
- Prepare shipping documentation and supporting paperwork as required.
- Generate documentation such as Certificates of Conformance, Certificates of Origin, and testing documentation when applicable.
- Carefully package small and fragile manufactured components to prevent damage during shipment.
- Schedule UPS, FedEx, and other carrier pickups.
- Prepare shipping labels and coordinate outgoing packages.
- Assist with domestic and international shipments.
- Enter shipping and invoicing information accurately into company systems.
- Create and send customer invoices as required.
- Maintain organized shipping records and completed paperwork.
- Assist with related inspection or production support tasks when needed.
What We’re Looking For
- Previous hands-on shipping and receiving experience.
- Experience with inventory control, stockroom activities, or material tracking.
- Strong ability to accurately count parts and verify quantities.
- Experience receiving material against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Comfortable using ERP systems, shipping software, and basic computer programs.
- UPS and/or FedEx shipping experience preferred.
- Manufacturing or industrial shipping experience strongly preferred.
- Experience handling and packaging delicate or fragile products is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to multitask in a manufacturing environment.
- Dependable attendance and reliability.
- Ability to lift up to approximately 40 lbs.
- Forklift certification or willingness/ability to obtain certification.
- Must meet applicable U.S. export-control requirements for the position.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
