- Monitor security systems including CCTV, access control, alarms, and/or cybersecurity tools (SIEM, IDS/IPS, EDR).
- Identify, analyze, and respond to security alerts and incidents in real time.
- Escalate incidents according to established procedures and severity levels.
- Maintain situational awareness and coordinate response with security, IT, or law enforcement as required.
- Review video footage, access logs, and system alerts to determine incident validity.
- Document incidents clearly and accurately in incident management systems.
- Prepare daily activity reports and incident summaries.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams, management, and external responders.
- Provide real-time updates during active incidents.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and compliance requirements.
- Ability to sit for extended periods while monitoring screens.
- 1-3 years of experience in a SOC, GSOC, security operations, or monitoring center role.
- Experience with CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, or PSIM systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proficiency with security monitoring tools and incident ticketing systems.
- Basic understanding of security principles and threat response.
- Must be 21 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Texas Level 2 Guard Card
