Armorer

Inter-Con Security is searching for a motivated individual to fill the exciting role of an Armorer/Gunsmith located in Washington, D.C. This full-time position sponsors your Secret clearance and pays $35.13 per hour plus $5.50 per hour for benefits.

Responsibilities

1)   Maintains open communications with DS/PSP/DEAV Armory for all work-related technical activities. 

2)   Repairs and maintains all contract weapons. 

3)   Performs routine duties as detailed in General and Post Orders. 

4)   Supply & Logistics (directly related to shipping/purchasing weapons, uniforms, and gear)

5)   In-processing and out-processing of security personnel

Qualifications

• Be a minimum of 21 years of age

• Must be a citizen of the United States

• Possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance

• Fluent in both the written and spoken English language

• Possess a valid United States driver's license

1) Must possess valid certifications from the manufacturer or other source of instruction approved by DS/PSP/DEAV on all weapons identified in the contract. 

2) Must possess a minimum of four (4) years of military (USMC MOS 2111, Army 45B/91F, or equivalent) or law enforcement armorer experience. 

3) Must possess the ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to fifty (50) pounds.

Work Environment and Schedule

• Job operates in client sites which could be indoors or outdoors.

• Position requires prolonged standing and walking, in the performance of daily security activities.

• Open availability Nights, Weekends, Holidays and overtime as directed (overtime occurs).

• Work various shifts and Holidays as assigned.

• Must maintain flexibility regarding job assignments and locations.

• Time flexibility depending on the needs of the company.
