The Maintenance Supervisor (Team Advisor) provides direct leadership and oversight for a team of Maintenance Technicians responsible for both routine and non-routine maintenance activities within a designated area of the facility. This role ensures high-quality execution of maintenance work, adherence to safety and housekeeping standards, and reliable operation of plant equipment in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
This position reports to the Maintenance Team Leader (Manager) and plays a critical role in driving operational reliability, safety, and equipment performance. The role also serves as a key point of contact for contractors and cross-functional partners.
Location: Richland Center, WI (On-site)
Shift: Night Shift (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
Relocation: Available for candidates relocating more than 50 miles (relocation package provided)

What You’ll DoLeadership & Team Development
- Supervise, coach, and develop a team of Maintenance Technicians
- Provide daily direction, training, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality execution
- Coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring timely completion of work orders and adherence to schedules
- Foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning
- Champion a strong safety culture through risk assessments, safety audits, and corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, PSM, FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF, and internal food safety standards
- Promote and model safe work practices and a clean, hazard-free work environment
- Ensure adherence to all food safety and quality requirements across maintenance activities
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and technical equipment issues
- Ensure optimal performance of production equipment including pasteurizers, homogenizers, fillers, packaging systems, and refrigeration systems
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations teams on capital projects and equipment upgrades
- Apply best practices in precision maintenance, lubrication, and contamination control
- Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance (PM) programs to ensure equipment reliability
- Utilize predictive maintenance (PdM) tools to identify and prevent equipment failures
- Conduct inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and internal procedures
- Partner with planning teams to improve maintenance effectiveness and execution
- Implement world-class maintenance practices including TPM, Lean Maintenance, and RCM
- Identify and execute process improvements to reduce downtime, improve uptime, and increase efficiency
- Support plant initiatives to improve OEE, productivity, and cost performance
- Track and analyze KPIs including equipment uptime, downtime, response time, overtime, and maintenance costs
- Ensure alignment of maintenance activities with production, sanitation, quality, and engineering schedules
- Accurately document maintenance activities, including repairs, parts usage, and downtime events
- Utilize Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems for work order tracking and equipment history
- Prepare and communicate KPI reports on reliability, maintenance performance, and cost metrics
- Support data-driven decision-making through accurate and timely reporting
- Partner with Production, Quality, Sanitation, Engineering, and external contractors
- Ensure maintenance execution supports production goals with minimal disruption
- Communicate effectively across shifts and departments to ensure operational continuity
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related technical field preferred
- 1–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance, including hands-on technical work and leadership or lead responsibilities
- Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge
- Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment preferred
- Proficiency with maintenance systems (EAM/CMMS preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, 24/7 operational environment
- Ability to travel up to 5%
