Financial Operations Analyst (Middle Office / Reconciliation)

Hybrid in Pittsburgh - Onsite 4 days a week | Contract-to-hire opportunity

What You'll Do

• Support day-to-day middle office and accounting operations for investment funds.
• Perform cash and position reconciliations, cash management activities, and client-specific operational processes.
• Review transactions and operational documents to ensure compliance with established procedures and minimize operational risk.
• Research reconciliation breaks, investigate exceptions, identify root causes, and document findings.
• Track fund activity, maintain operational records, and support quality control reporting.
• Prepare error reports and communicate findings to internal stakeholders.
• Assist with operational process improvements and the migration of legacy workflows to standardized BNY platforms.
• Prioritize multiple deadlines while maintaining accuracy in a high-volume environment.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Bachelor's preferred).
• Prior financial services experience required.
• Mutual fund experience preferred.
• Experience in middle office, operations, reconciliation, trade support, accounting operations, or fund administration.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate issues and determine root causes.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with a proactive, collaborative mindset.

Preferred Experience

• Financial services operations, accounting, or investment operations support.
• Cash, position, or transaction reconciliations.
• Exception management and operational controls.
• Process improvement initiatives, automation, or AI-enabled operational tools.
