Process Technician, Advanced Operations

Location: Phoenix & Chandler, AZ

Position Summary

The Advanced Operations team is seeking a Process Technician, Advanced Operations to support new process and product introductions across manufacturing operations in Phoenix and Chandler, Arizona. This role provides hands-on technical support for manufacturing process development, equipment installation and validation, and production readiness activities required to successfully launch and sustain manufacturing processes.

Working closely with Engineering and Operations teams, the Process Technician will play a critical role in troubleshooting manufacturing challenges, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with quality, GMP, and safety standards. A key focus of this position is helping stabilize new processes, support production launches, and ensure manufacturing teams are trained and prepared for successful implementation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support for the development, implementation, and sustainment of manufacturing and inspection processes to achieve quality, cost, and operational efficiency objectives.
• Develop, evaluate, and improve processing methods and controls, recommending and implementing changes that enhance safety, quality, throughput, and overall process performance.
• Support new process and product introductions, ensuring activities are executed and documented in accordance with established product development and validation procedures.
• Monitor manufacturing operations to ensure compliance with approved processes, material specifications, GMP requirements, and safety standards.
• Investigate process deviations and work-in-process issues, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions.
• Identify opportunities to reduce process variation and waste while supporting continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
• Partner with Project and Process Engineers to develop manufacturing and inspection process flows and support DOE, DFM/DFI, and development build activities.
• Execute equipment installation, qualification, and validation activities to support production readiness and regulatory compliance.
• Create, maintain, and update manufacturing documentation while ensuring records are managed in accordance with company requirements and specifications.
• Support engineering change control activities, including Engineering Change Order (ECO) implementation and associated production documentation updates.
• Communicate technical findings, observations, project updates, and issues effectively to engineering, operations, and management teams.
• Collaborate within a cross-functional team environment to support continuous improvement efforts and foster a culture of quality, accountability, and customer focus.
• Assist with training and knowledge transfer activities, ensuring production personnel are prepared to safely and effectively execute new or revised manufacturing processes.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant manufacturing, process, or technical experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general PC skills.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in a technical discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, production methods, and materials.
• Experience setting up manufacturing equipment and supporting or leading production batch runs.
• Experience performing product inspections using standard measurement and inspection tools.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks, solve technical problems, and perform effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
