Key ResponsibilitiesData Architecture & Infrastructure
- Design, implement, and maintain modern cloud-based data infrastructure for large-scale datasets.
- Develop and optimize data tables using best practices in partitioning, compression, compaction, and performance tuning.
- Scale existing systems and incorporate new data sources to support evolving product and analytics use cases.
- Build and support ETL pipelines with strong monitoring, alarming, and auditability.
- Maintain data integrity, availability, reliability, and operational health across systems.
- Assist with on-call coverage and help improve the overall resiliency of the data ecosystem.
- Drive adoption of new technologies, including GenAI tools and emerging data engineering best practices.
- Partner with science and product teams to deliver data pipelines powering science-backed product features.
- Identify and propose innovative approaches to meet stakeholder requirements efficiently.
- Work directly with product, engineering, science, and program stakeholders to gather requirements and develop scalable solutions.
- Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to collaborative technical discussions.
- Communicate technical decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical partners.
