We have two contract for hire spots ~
First shift pay rate is $31.00/hr
@nd shift pay rate is $34.10/hr
Keys from the manager~
~We use DMG/Mori Seiki machines 3 axis mill and 2 axis lathes.
~Set is typically 2 vise set up using G54 and G55 work offsets.
~Proven ability to set up and run parts from set up sheet instruction and prints
~Verify parts are good using Micrometers, calipers and other hand held inspection equipment.
~Speed and feed changes to reduce chatter or produce good finish on parts. G&M code editing is helpful.

Ability to run CNC and manual machines and to perform basic programming as needed.
Ability to apply acquired job skills and company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks.
Working properties of all materials.
Follow established procedures on routine work; require instructions only on new assignments.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in order to give and receive instructions, work with engineers and technicians, and train other Machinists as needed.
Ability to work with a team to meet the department objectives and goals.
Strong problem-solving skills
Persuasion and negotiation skills.
Ability to plan, organize, and work successfully on simultaneous projects.
Ability to employ sound judgment with little or no supervision.

The Job~
- Set-up, adjusts, operate and edit program a variety of machines, which will include CNC mills and or CNC lathes and which may include manual mills, manual lathes.
- Checks and inspects machining operations against specified tolerances.
- Works from complex blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions.
- Minimal supervision to set up and operate all available machine tools to perform various machine operations on parts that are made from various materials.
Education
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
- 2-year graduate of Voc-tech machinist and/or 3 years of experience preferred.
- Minimum three years Machinist experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically in a high technology environment.
