Accountant II - Regulatory Reporting

About The Role

We are seeking an Accountant II – Finance to support the preparation of regulatory reports for a broker-dealer environment. This role plays a key part in transforming financial data into accurate, compliant regulatory reporting through data analysis, reconciliations, and control checks. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and highly proficient in Excel.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of regulatory and financial reports for a broker-dealer
• Support end-to-end reporting processes, including data retrieval, aggregation, and calculations
• Analyze data to identify exceptions, discrepancies, and trends
• Perform account reconciliations and control checks to ensure data completeness and accuracy
• Work with large datasets in Excel using advanced functions such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP
• Provide ad hoc analysis and support special projects as assigned
• Create, enhance, and maintain written desktop procedures and documentation
• Collaborate with internal teams to support reporting and compliance initiatives
  
  

Qualifications

Required

• Bachelor’s degree (preferably in Accounting or Finance)
• Relevant experience in accounting or finance
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and similar functions)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools
  
  

Preferred

• Experience supporting regulatory or financial reporting in a financial services or broker-dealer environment
• Familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, and PowerPoint
• Ability and willingness to learn and apply new data analysis and reporting tools
  
  

Technical Skills

• Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, data analysis)
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Working knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, and PowerPoint (preferred)
