Your role as a Help Desk Specialist

Join our dynamic team at IntePros Federal as a Help Desk Specialist in Washington, DC. In this role, you will provide Tier I & Tier II support and respond to high call volumes within a small team setting. Your responsibilities will include providing phone support during core business hours and on-call support after hours and on weekends, ensuring our clients receive timely assistance.

You will also administer user accounts using Active Directory, manage email accounts through Microsoft Exchange, and support VDI and virtual environments. Additionally, you will configure and deploy desktop and network hardware, support the National Security Systems Public Key Infrastructure, and monitor systems such as the Automated Message Handling System. To excel in the Help Desk Specialist role at IntePros Federal, candidates should possess a range of key skills and qualities. Essential requirements include familiarity with the ServiceNow Ticketing System and 6 months to 1 year of relevant experience. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, as well as exceptional customer service abilities.

Candidates should have previous call desk or help desk experience and the capacity to handle multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines. An analytical mindset, proficiency in Microsoft desktop client technologies, and a knack for problem-solving are highly valued. Additionally, a passion for building relationships and delivering outstanding service is essential, as is a willingness to travel to various site locations as needed.


Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

  • Experience with ServiceNow Ticketing System
  • 1-3 years' experience preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Call desk and/or Help desk experience
  • Ability to multi-task and perform under tight deadlines
  • Demonstrate an ability to methodically and proactively analyze problems and identify solutions
  • Experience with Microsoft desktop client technologies and supporting software
  • Familiar with current and emerging technologies and their potential impact to the Department
  • Likes to work in a small company where your contributions and ideas will directly impact the company's growth and success
  • Loves building relationships with people and providing a true "Wow" experience.
  • Willing to travel to local/nationwide site locations.
