What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Janitor position at Inteplast Group?
TITLE: Janitor
POSITION OBJECTIVE: Heavy cleaning of the building to maintain the cleanliness of the plant and grounds per company GMPs. Work in a safe and efficient manner to be productive, while maintaining a high quality of work. This is a temp to hire position. Second shirt hours 2 to 10pm. Paid breaks and lunch. Some overtime.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have previous experience in industrial cleaning of 3 years.
- Must have good past working habits and attendance record.
- Must be self-motivated to work independently to complete daily/monthly/yearly/tasks.
- Must have good communication skills both verbally and written.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Available to work overtime.
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Safety - complies with all written and verbal safety rules of the plant and department including the use of personal protective equipment.
- Perform all assigned job duties.
- Use an industrial floor scrubber to clean the production floors.
- Emptying the production area garbage including dumpsters.
- Run the Paper Baler to compress and bale paper for recycling.
- Be able to work at heights using a Boom Lift to clean rafter areas.
- Any other misc. duties like cleaning doors, windows, walls as needed.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:
- Must adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of PPE.
- Fast-paced production floor with exposure to machinery noise.
TRAINING:
- Must complete ongoing training as required.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. on a daily basis.
