POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for lubrication, preventative maintenance, and repair of all equipment. Performs other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Technical school or Associates degree in Industrial Maintenance or 4 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance required
- Have a strong background in troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, as well as machining experience is required
- Basic computer knowledge
- Safety glasses, ear plugs, and steel toe shoes is required on some or all jobs
- Must have good communication skill
- Must be able to multi-task
- Must be able and willing to work overtime on an as needed basis. Must be willing to be on-call and work some nights and weekends that are required
- Electrical background is a plus, but not required
- The ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings is a plus
- Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
- Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions
- Troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of mechanical equipment
- Lubrication and preventative maintenance (PM) of mechanical equipment
- Assists Electronic technician in electrical and electronic duties
- Able to perform welding, machining, and millwright duties
- Identify parts and assist Parts Coordinator in the requisition and inventory of tools, spare parts, and equipment
- Assembles, and installs new mechanical equipment, enters work orders in the Maintenance Management System; able to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings
- Maintain all equipment in good running order, perform route checks and report deficiencies.
- Ensure that job site is clean and free of hazards, follow GMP practices.
- Maintains good housekeeping and safety practices when running equipment
- Interacts and communicates with Production supervisor during shift and assist on production line when needed
- Maintains professional certifications and keeps updated on all procedures and policy changes; keeps training up to date
- Operates all maintenance equipment safely, follow LOTO practices.
- Basic use of hand and power tools.
- Basic knowledge of plant utility systems.
- Works with minimal supervision.
- Performs daily, weekly and monthly PM assignments.
- Has working knowledge of spare parts system.
- Works safely.
- Basic knowledge of rigging and lifting techniques.
- Basic maintenance skills including machining, welding, pipefitting and fabrication.
- Maintains a forklift license.
- Basic knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
- Follows all safety procedures including LOTO, confined space, proper lifting, etc.
- Advanced knowledge of plant utility systems.
- Look up spare parts in inventory.
- Competent in rigging ang lifting techniques.
- Can read drawings and blueprints.
- Has ability to weld, use cutting torch, machine, pipefit, and use all shop tools.
- Able to use all shop power tools.
- Ability to troubleshoot process and utility equipment.
- Repairs and replaces bearings, sprockets, chains, pulleys, belts, etc.
- Properly applies lubrication type and usage

- Ability to work in varying temperatures (cold and hot)
