What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista & Cook - Office Café | Part-Time | Tues-Thurs, 8:00am-1:30pm position at Intentional Hospitality Catering?
Description:
No two shifts look the same - and that's the point.
This isn't a "stand behind the espresso machine all day" job. You'll pull shots, fire hot line items, learn our regulars by name and order, and keep the space running like clockwork. If you like variety, want to build real barista and kitchen skills, and enjoy being the reason someone's morning gets better - this is for you.
What you'll be doing
Welcoming guests the moment they walk in - you set the tone for their day
Crafting coffee and beverages that meet our speed and quality standards
Cross-training on the hot line to cook across our full menu
Building relationships with regulars - learning names, orders, and preferences
Keeping the space clean, organized, and fully stocked with fresh product
Running daily side work to keep the café ready for the next shift
Requirements:
18 , with reliable transportation to and from every shift
A valid food handling card (or willingness to get certified)
Comfortable on your feet for a full shift and lifting up to 50 lbs
High energy, outgoing, and genuinely enjoys people
Cool under pressure - can multitask, adapt fast, and take direction on the fly
A solutions-first mindset - you spot a problem and fix it, not just flag it
A cell phone for scheduling/communication
