Job Responsibilities
- Providing Excellent Care: Support residents with basic activities of daily living (ADLs), such as eating, personal hygiene, and grooming
- Safety and Hygiene: Protect resident health and safety by maintaining a clean and sanitary environment
- Transportation and Movement: Assist residents with transportation and movement around the facility as needed
- Documentation and Reporting: Document and report resident vital signs and update the nursing team on physical and mental conditions
- Care Planning: Adhere to care plans for residents and follow all applicable policies, rules, and regulations
- Relationship Building: Engage with residents to build trust and relationships based on security and comfort
- Communication: Communicate effectively between staff, residents, and family members to promote transparency and resident comfort
Qualifications and Skills
- Current Connecticut CNA Certification
- Lifting Ability: Ability to lift at least 50 pounds
- Nursing Knowledge: Knowledge of medical terminology and nursing care procedures
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail
- Communication and Social Skills: Effective communication and social skills
