Role Description The QuickBooks Accountant is a part-time, on-site & work from home role based in Troy, MI. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day accounting activities in QuickBooks, including recording transactions, reconciling bank and credit card accounts, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing routine financial reports. The QuickBooks Accountant will process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoicing, track expenses, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. This role will collaborate with operations and management teams to ensure accurate cost tracking for projects, support budgeting and forecasting, and assist with compliance and documentation for audits. The individual will also help improve accounting processes, maintain organized financial records, and provide timely financial insights to support business decisions.
Qualifications
- Strong QuickBooks proficiency, including general ledger management, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
- Solid accounting foundation, with skills in accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and expense tracking.
- Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and variance review to support management decision-making.
- Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills for maintaining clean financial records.
- Proficiency with spreadsheets and office productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word) for reporting and analysis.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Ability to work on-site in Cincinnati, OH and manage priorities in a fast-paced operations environment.
