We're looking for an experienced Accounting Manager who is excited about modernizing finance operations, leveraging technology, and building efficient, scalable processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, you'll play a key role in strengthening our accounting operations while helping shape the future of our finance function.
What You'll Do
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Prepare accurate financial statements and management reporting
- Manage general ledger activity, reconciliations, and cash management
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting processes
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
- Improve internal controls and accounting procedures
- Identify and implement automation opportunities that increase efficiency and accuracy
- Leverage modern accounting systems, AI-enabled tools, and data analytics to streamline workflows
- Partner with leaders across the organization to provide actionable financial insights
- Support audit, tax, compliance, and ESOP-related reporting activities
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
- Experience with Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOP)
- Experience managing month-end close processes
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities
- Experience using modern accounting and ERP systems
- Demonstrated success improving processes through technology and automation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Experience in professional services, consulting, research, advisory, or other knowledge-based businesses
- Experience with ESOP accounting and reporting
- Familiarity with business intelligence, workflow automation, and AI-powered finance tools
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience
