Position Overview:

• We are seeking a manager-level contractor who is also comfortable performing senior accountant-level work when necessary, including preparation of accounting work papers.

Job Description:

• Responsible for managing the general accounting function.
• Oversees the completion of ledger accounts and financial statements.
• Evaluates and makes appropriate improvements to internal accounting processes ensuring that practices are in line with the overall goals of the organization.
• Designation of CPA may be required.
• Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
• Typically reports to top management.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

• Revenue accounting for several business units.
• Supporting business partners with any questions/and projects with a new offering or testing within the systems, sell and have it go through for accounting results.

Required Skills:

• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of Pivot Tables for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with Revenue Accounting, including revenue recognition and related accounting processes.
• Knowledge of ASC 606 revenue recognition standards is a plus.
• Experience using Workday and Zuora for accounting and financial operations.
• Public accounting experience is welcomed but not required.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
