About the Role:

The Quality Assurance Manager at IntelliMetal, IM, will lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems to ensure that all durable goods manufactured meet or exceed industry standards and customer expectations. This role is pivotal in driving corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues proactively and maintain compliance with ISO 9001 standards. The manager will oversee supplier quality management, ensuring that all incoming materials and components adhere to stringent quality requirements. By fostering a culture of quality throughout the organization, the manager will collaborate cross-functionally to integrate quality assurance processes seamlessly into production and operational workflows. Ultimately, this position ensures product reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction, contributing directly to the company’s reputation and business success.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance within durable goods manufacturing.
  • Proven expertise in quality systems, corrective and preventive actions, and supplier quality management.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead quality improvement initiatives and manage cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/OE) certification.
  • Experience with advanced quality tools such as Six Sigma or Lean methodologies.
  • Familiarity with electronic quality management systems (eQMS).
  • Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Strong project management skills and experience leading large-scale quality projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality assurance programs and quality systems in alignment with ISO 9001 standards.
  • Lead investigations into quality issues and coordinate corrective and preventive action plans to resolve root causes effectively.
  • Manage supplier quality by conducting audits, evaluating supplier performance, and collaborating to improve quality standards.
  • Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and areas for continuous improvement across manufacturing processes.
  • Train and mentor quality assurance team members and other staff on quality processes, standards, and best practices.

Skills:

The required skills such as Quality Systems and Quality Assurance are applied daily to design and maintain robust processes that ensure product compliance and excellence. Corrective Action and Corrective and Preventive Actions skills are critical for identifying root causes of quality issues and implementing effective solutions to prevent recurrence. Supplier Quality expertise is used to evaluate and improve supplier performance, ensuring that all materials meet stringent quality standards before entering production. Knowledge of ISO 9001 guides the team in maintaining regulatory compliance and aligning quality programs with international standards. Preferred skills like Lean methodologies and eQMS enhance efficiency and data management, enabling the Quality Assurance Manager to drive continuous improvement and foster a proactive quality culture throughout the organization.

Salary : $85,000 - $100,000
