Role Overview:
The Machine Operator will operate and monitor production machinery used in the cookie manufacturing process, ensuring equipment is running properly and production standards are consistently maintained.
This position requires hands-on machine operating experience, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and product quality. Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish and available to complete initial training on 1st Shift before transitioning to the regular 2nd Shift schedule..
Job Requirements:
▪ 1–2 years of experience as a Machine Operator or in a related manufacturing/production role.
▪ Fluency in English and Spanish.
▪ Hands-on experience operating and monitoring production machinery.
▪ Familiarity with standard machine operating and manufacturing procedures.
▪ Knowledge of workplace safety practices and proper equipment operation.
▪ Attention to detail when monitoring production and product quality.
▪ Knowledge of basic production and quality standards.
▪ Reliable attendance and consistent work performance.
▪ Willingness to complete initial training on 1st Shift before transitioning to 2nd Shift.
▪ Food manufacturing or bakery production experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
▪ Operate Production Machinery: Operate assigned manufacturing equipment safely and according to established operating procedures.
▪ Monitor Equipment Performance: Monitor machinery during production and report operating issues or abnormalities promptly.
▪ Monitor Product Quality: Check products during production to help maintain consistent quality and established specifications.
▪ Maintain Production Flow: Monitor assigned equipment and production activities to support consistent and efficient output.
▪ Follow Operating Procedures: Follow production instructions, safety requirements, and applicable food manufacturing standards.
▪ Complete Production Records: Accurately complete required production logs, machine checks, and other assigned documentation.
▪ Maintain a Clean Work Area: Keep the assigned work area and equipment clean and organized according to company standards.
▪ Communicate Production Issues: Report equipment concerns, quality issues, or production interruptions to the appropriate supervisor.
▪ Support Food Safety: Follow applicable GMP, sanitation, and food safety practices throughout the production process.
▪ Work with the Production Team: Coordinate with team members to support daily production goals and maintain an efficient workflow.
▪ Participate in Training: Complete required training on 1st Shift and apply established operating and safety procedures when transitioning to 2nd Shift.
▪ Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Pay: $24.45 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 – 50.0 per week
