Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, including talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational design.
- Lead recruiting efforts by managing sourcing channels, conducting interviews, and overseeing onboarding processes to attract top talent.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, workers' compensation, and leave policies such as FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act).
- Manage employee relations by mediating conflicts, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering open communication across teams.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations such as OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), labor law requirements, and contract management.
- Oversee HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or ADP for data collection, payroll processing, and reporting.
- Lead training and development initiatives to enhance employee skills through workshops, leadership programs, and performance management systems.
- Supervise HR staff and collaborate with senior leadership to align HR programs with strategic planning efforts.
- Manage change management projects to improve HR processes through process improvement techniques like Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Oversee compensation structures by budgeting for salary adjustments and administering payroll systems such as Paychex or Paylocity.
- Conduct employee orientation sessions to introduce new hires to company policies, culture, and expectations.
- Develop programs for employee engagement, recognition, and retention to foster a motivated workforce.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of employment & labor law compliance including FMLA regulations and OSHA standards.
- Proven experience in talent acquisition strategies utilizing ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) like Taleo or Greenhouse.
- Strong negotiation skills for contracts, benefits administration negotiations, and conflict resolution.
- Demonstrated supervising experience with the ability to lead HR teams effectively.
- Expertise in HR sourcing techniques and human capital management tools such as UltiPro or Ceridian platforms.
- Skilled in organization design principles to optimize workforce structure for efficiency and growth.
- Proficiency in performance management systems coupled with employee evaluation techniques to drive productivity.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting HR initiatives to senior leadership and engaging employees at all levels.
- Ability to analyze data using tools like Kronos or Oracle HCM for informed decision-making on workforce planning.
- Experience managing training & development programs that support career growth and succession planning efforts.
- Familiarity with payroll systems including Paychex or Dayforce for accurate compensation processing.
- Strong understanding of contracts law related to employment agreements and vendor negotiations.
- Adept at process improvement methodologies aimed at enhancing HR operations efficiency.
