Intelliknow is urgently hiring an enthusiastic and dependable Assistant Manager to join our leadership team at a New Restaurant Opening (NRO) in Kendallville, IN If you’re passionate about the full service industry, thrive in a high-energy environment, and have experience supporting restaurant operations and team management—this is your opportunity to grow with a supportive and dynamic brand.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations and ensure a clean, efficient, and guest-focused environment.
- Support in achieving food quality, speed, and service excellence standards.
- Supervise, coach, and motivate front-line team members.
- Help manage inventory, food safety procedures, and labor cost controls.
- Play an active role in hiring, training, and scheduling team members.
- Address guest concerns and provide prompt, professional service resolutions.
- Monitor equipment and facility maintenance issues and escalate as needed.
- Ensure compliance with local and federal health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to execute marketing promotions and team initiatives.
- Take ownership of shifts and act as the lead manager in the General Manager’s absence.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in the full service or casual dining restaurant industry.
- At least 2 year in a leadership or supervisory role (Shift Leader, Assistant Manager, etc.).
- Must reside in or be willing to relocate within 30 minutes of Kendallville, IN
- Must be prepared to answer: “Where have you last worked in a leadership capacity?”
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications a plus.
