About the Role:

The Quality Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring that products meet the established quality standards and specifications. This position involves conducting inspections, tests, and evaluations of materials and products throughout the manufacturing process. The technician will analyze data and report findings to identify areas for improvement, thereby enhancing product quality and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the Quality Technician will collaborate with various departments to implement quality control measures and corrective actions. Ultimately, the goal of this role is to maintain high-quality standards that align with the company's commitment to excellence and reliability.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
  • Familiarity with quality inspection tools and techniques, such as calipers, micrometers, height stands, and statistical process control.
  • GDNT experience.
  • Experience with reading engineering drawings.
  • Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Aerospace, etc. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification in quality control or quality assurance (e.g., Six Sigma, ASQ certification).
  • Experience with ISO standards and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of quality control activities.
  • Identify and report any defects or non-conformities, and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of quality assurance protocols and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and operational efficiency.

Skills:

The required skills for this position include attention to detail, analytical thinking, and effective communication. Attention to detail is essential for accurately inspecting products and identifying defects, while analytical thinking helps in interpreting data and making informed decisions. Effective communication skills are necessary for collaborating with team members and reporting findings to management. Preferred skills, such as knowledge of ISO standards and lean manufacturing, will enhance the technician's ability to contribute to quality improvement initiatives. Overall, these skills are utilized daily to ensure that the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the production process.
