Duties
- Assist drivers with loading and unloading freight, equipment, or passengers using tools such as pallet jacks or manual handling techniques
- Support vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance with operational standards
- Help coordinate route deliveries or shuttle services by providing navigation support and ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of vehicles including trucks, buses, or vans
- Communicate effectively with team members and drivers to relay important information about routes or delivery schedules
- Support in moving cargo or equipment within warehouses or yard areas safely and efficiently
- Assist with securing loads on flatbeds, tanker trucks, or heavy equipment transport vehicles as needed
Requirements
- Prior experience in delivery driving, shuttle driving, or warehouse operations is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle operation including manual transmission, forklift operation, or heavy haul is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy items, moving cargo, or operating pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and safety compliance
- Mechanical knowledge of trucks, buses, or other heavy equipment is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with route driving or school bus driving is beneficial
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on operational needs
