What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Python Engineer (AWS, APIs, GenAI) position at Intellibus?
We are hiring a Senior Python Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud-native systems that integrate backend services, data platforms, and AI tooling.
This is not a task-driven role. You will be expected to own outcomes end-to-end—from system design to production deployment, while working across backend systems, cloud infrastructure, and modern AI-assisted development workflows.
You will work closely with engineering, DevOps, and stakeholders to deliver production-grade systems that are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
We are looking for Engineers who can:
Backend Engineering
- Build backend systems using Python.
- Develop and maintain REST APIs (consume & produce).
- Design scalable services and integration layers.
- Work with structured and unstructured data systems.
Event-Driven & Distributed Systems
- Build and operate event-driven systems on AWS.
- Develop asynchronous workflows and messaging-based architectures.
- Integrate services using scalable, loosely coupled designs.
Cloud & Data Platforms
- Work with AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, boto3, etc.).
- Build integrations with Snowflake and relational databases.
- Design systems that handle high-throughput data pipelines.
AI & Developer Productivity
- Leverage GenAI tools and coding agents (Copilot, Claude, Codex).
- Integrate AI-assisted workflows into development processes.
- Work with emerging enterprise AI ecosystems.
DevOps & Delivery
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
- Work with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, SonarQube).
- Follow structured Git workflows and SDLC practices.
- Ensure reliability through testing, monitoring, and observability.

- You understand DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation.

- You communicate clearly and can operate in fast-moving, high-pressure environments.
