The Senior Analyst of Business System Configuration is considered a strong analytical/procedural individual focusing on strategy, rules, and configuration to drive Ally Auto’s lending business forward. Act as a key participant in story refinement, configuration design, and configuration execution. This role will partner with leadership, business experts, and partners to drive solutions and improvements to complex business problems. Resource must have a quality outcome mindset and will actively assist the quality assurance team ensuring configurations meet business needs and minimize risks. This individual will work closely with a key leaders and a broad group of matrix partners, including business operations, IT, Risk, Finance/Pricing, Analytical Modeling, and Product Management, etc. to implement business solutions. We are looking for a dynamic person, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is comfortable operating as a team lead, independent contributor, and influencer. This person should bring a passion for problem solving, a strong logistical mindset, and an intense sense of TEAM to the exciting and challenging world of auto finance.

- Understand complex business challenges to help build business intelligent solutions for core functional areas
- Strong subject matter knowledge in both business outcomes and platform capabilities.
- Partner with matrix teams to drive discovery and delivery of business focused solutions.
- Act as key thought leader in supporting efficient tactical delivery
- Ability to understand, lead, and/or configure concepts and best practices across an Agile driven delivery lifecycle.
- Document conceptual designs and flows to support business outcomes.
- Work with ambiguous and complex requirements and help refine them into distinct tactical goals.
- Drive the evolutionary progress of Ally’s auto finance platforms.
- Show proactiveness in all facets of work and duties.
- Self-driven resource who takes direction well and always aligns their work to the overarching stated goals of the initiative.
- Possess ability to see around corners and provide guidance to leadership of any upcoming obstacles / decisions required.
- Stay current with industry trends and apply learnings to drive platform innovations
- Ability to present complex concepts, design, and directions in an intuitive format and concise manner
- Demonstrates excellent time management skills.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3 years' experience in financial services or related industry.
- Project Management/Business Analyst Certification (or equivalent work experience) highly preferred.
- Business and/or IT experience preferred.
- Work collaboratively with all Stakeholders, Value Streams and Global partners.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experienced in facilitating project teams.
- Experience in reading -/or querying SQL, Oracle, SMSS, etc.is required.
- Proven ability to deliver results in a highly complex matrix environment, including external vendors.
- Skilled with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Access, PowerPoint).
- Able to travel overnight (25% /-).
