Senior Director or VP, Gateway Business Development

Role Summary

Lead global growth of the gateway (GGS) business, driving strategic account development, large-scale deal capture, and long-term revenue expansion across satellite operators, hyperscalers, and defense customers.


On-site presence is preferred at our Irvine, CA office however, remote flexibility may be available depending on the candidate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute global gateway BD strategy
  • Build and manage multi-year pipeline (>$100M opportunities)
  • Lead opportunity shaping (RFI/RFP positioning, requirement influence)
  • Establish and manage strategic partnerships (primes, integrators, operators)
  • Drive executive-level customer engagement and deal closure
  • Lead commercial structuring (pricing, delivery, localization strategy)
  • Align cross-functionally with product, engineering, and operations


Qualifications

  • 15 years in satcom, telecom, or defense BD
  • Bachelor’s degree required (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven track record in closing large-scale infrastructure deals
  • Deep understanding of multi-orbit satellite networks
  • Strong executive presence and negotiation capability

Salary : $230,000 - $300,000
