Required Skills: 4 - 8 years experience
- Demonstrated effective writing and documentation skills.
- Skill in SQL Server database administration
- Skill in working in Windows operating systems
- Skill as a SQL developer and SQL Server Management Studio tools
- Skill in creating stored procedures, views, and functions
- Skill in supporting SQL Server data replication, high availability, and validation
- Skill with SQL Server software installation, patching, and upgrading.
- Ability to work independently and to resolve complex issues
- Ability to effectively diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems pertaining to server
- and data infrastructure
- Ability to write T- SQL, Stored Procedures, Functions, and Database Triggers
- Ability to Tune SQL and T-SQL queries for performance, index maintenance and
- implementation, and proactively identify performance bottlenecks while providing sound solutions
- Operational support skills, including experience with system installations, troubleshooting,
- migrations and upgrades
- Knowledge of Windows and PowerShell scripting
- Skill in logical and physical database design and data models
- Knowledge of the software development lifecycle process
- Practical experience in monitoring and tuning databases to provide a high availability service
- Ability to maintain currency on tools, methodologies, and technologies related to data
- administration
- Knowledge of data privacy and protection initiatives
- Knowledge of SQL Server backup/recovery technologies and processes
- Knowledge of SQL Server Replication practices and processes
- Knowledge of SQL Server Clusters and Failover (AG clusters and regular Failover clusters)
