Electrical Testing Lead | Commerce City, CO or customer site
Travel Required: 50% (negotiable)
The Company: Confidential client, a company that tests, diagnoses and repairs transformers and switchgear for utility and industrial customers.
The Role: Hands-on electrical testing of transformers, switchgear and circuit breakers, split between the Commerce City facility and customer sites. Real diagnostic and repair responsibility, not bench-only.
What You'll Do:
- Run testing per work order: turns ratio, insulation resistance, winding resistance, power factor, no load/full load, hi-pot, contact resistance
- Diagnose and troubleshoot transformer and switchgear issues, make repairs and check connections as needed
- Test ATS, VFI, breakers and program relays (a plus, not required)
- Write test reports and flag issues to your supervisor
- Operate forklifts and other industrial equipment safely within load/capacity limits
- Work outdoors and in harsh conditions when assignments call for it
Must-Haves:
- 2 years hands-on electrical testing of transformers, switchgear and circuit breakers
- HS diploma/GED
- Comfortable with hand and power tools and general electrical equipment
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Able to pass background check, Wonderlic, workers' comp history check and drug screen
Nice-to-Haves:
- First Aid/CPR, AED, OSHA 10
- Relay programming experience
Compensation & Benefits: $30 to $60/hour depending on experience. Per diem, hotel and gas covered for travel. Health/dental, 401k, 2 weeks sick 2 weeks vacation, federal holidays off.
