Position Overview
The CNC Engineer supports manufacturing operations by developing CNC programs, improving machining processes, coordinating validation activities, and driving continuous improvement. This role requires strong technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and the ability to manage schedules and project deliverables.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and update CNC programs; support machining operations and tooling improvements.
- Update CAD/CREO/Pro-E files as required.
- Coordinate and execute Design of Experiments (DOE) and process validation activities.
- Identify and implement process improvements, cycle-time reductions, and best-practice machining methods.
- Review fixturing setups and recommend improvements.
- Support material cleanup, Kaizen, and shop-floor improvement initiatives.
- Gather operational data and conduct targeted analysis for process optimization.
- Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and customer engineering teams.
- Coordinate workflows and assess feasibility for new work.
- Prepare process documentation and support change management.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
- Minimum 5–7 years of CNC programming and machining experience.
- Experience with Mastercam, NC coding, Siemens NX, and 5–6 axis machining centers.
- Strong knowledge of CNC machining (Haas, DMG, Mazak).
- Experience in automotive or related manufacturing industries.
- Familiarity with AIAG and ISO 9001 standards.
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- CAD/CREO/Pro-E proficiency.
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Self-starter with ability to manage projects independently.
