Position Summary:
Seeking a Lab Tech Jr. to join the Toxicology Division in a SAMHSA-certified laboratory environment. This role involves operating laboratory screening instruments and performing initial analysis of urine and oral fluid specimens for substances of abuse while ensuring compliance with SAMHSA guidelines and regulatory standards.Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain screening instruments used for toxicology testing
• Perform initial review of donor specimen and QC sample test results
• Conduct testing using refractometers and pH meters
• Utilize screening and specimen validity test methods including:
  • EIA
  • CEDIA
  • ELISA
• Troubleshoot screening instrument issues and support laboratory operations
• Ensure confidentiality and security of donor information
• Follow all company procedures, SOPs, and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain compliance with SAMHSA, CAP-FDT, and laboratory quality standards

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Biology
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and analytical techniques
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment
• Good communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with laboratory instrumentation and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of:
  • SAMHSA regulations
  • CAP-FDT guidelines
  • Laboratory Information Systems (LIS)
• Experience working in regulated laboratory environments
