IntellecTechs, Inc. is currently seeking a General Clerk III with expertise in military ID card administration. The role entails serving as the verifying official for card issuance and maintaining the local Defense Enrollment Eligibility Reporting System (DEERS). This position requires the ability to independently process complex DEERS transactions, including interpreting legal documents, processing secondary dependence determinations, and handling unremarried widow/widower and Former Spouse Packets.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- ID Card/Common Access Card (CAC) Customer Service Specialist: Provide exceptional customer service to members of the Armed Forces, family members, DOD civilians, and contractors. Offer guidance on eligibility requirements, process applications, and ensure accuracy in issuing USID and CAC cards.
- Accuracy in ID Issuance: Conduct ID issuance with a 100 percent degree of accuracy, verifying recipient eligibility and adhering to established protocols.
- DEERS and RAPIDS Management: Research, reconcile, and update DEERS/RAPIDS information promptly. Update records within one hour of approval and respond to inquiries within one business day.
- Knowledge of DoD Instructions: Understand and interpret Department of Defense Instructions (DoDI) 1000-13, DoDI 1000.13 Volumes 1 thru 3, and AFI 36-3026.
- Appointment Management: Schedule appointments via telephone, email, or centralized ID card appointment scheduler. Maintain an up-to-date calendar and provide timely responses to appointment requests.
- Issuance Accountability: Manage the issuance of military ID cards and CAC for various military components, retirees, family members/dependents, and eligible recipients.
- RAPIDS Equipment Maintenance: Ensure the proper maintenance and operation of RAPIDS equipment. Conduct user maintenance and possess knowledge of various office software packages.
- DEERS Enrollment and Updates: Enroll and update eligible beneficiaries in DEERS, reconcile erroneous information, perform PIN resets, verify and update PKI certificates, and provide other Integrated Customer Authentication (ICA) services as needed.
- Site Security Management (SSM): May also be certified as Site Security Manager (SSM) by DMDC, responsible for the safekeeping, storing, and accountability of CAC and related consumable materials.
This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong customer service skills, and the ability to navigate complex military protocols and systems. Certification and annual training by the Defense Manpower Data Center (DMDC) are essential qualifications for this position.
