· Conduct second interviews for new hires to your team.

· Make recommendations to your manager for improvements to the staff, processes, or materials needed to improve the area under your supervision.

· Maintain an ethical and positive working environment free of “office politics” to promote high retention rates.

Specific Duties

· Lead, mentor, and coach a team of instructional designers, providing regular feedback and development to elevate design quality and team performance. Success is measured by improved designer output, reduced rework, and achievement of individual performance goals.

· Own the quality, accuracy, and instructional integrity of all curricula produced by the team, ensuring every deliverable meets established quality standards.

· Oversee and manage the full design workflow, ensuring all projects stay on schedule and meet SOW commitments.

· Hold designers accountable for meeting deadlines, following processes, and adhering to quality and accessibility guidelines. KPI: Reduction in late or incomplete deliverables and measurable improvement in adherence to accessibility and design standards.

· Partner closely with the Director and Project Managers to plan resources, monitor progress, manage capacity, and proactively resolve bottlenecks. KPI: Predictable project throughput with minimal escalations caused by design-related delays.

· Collaborate with SMEs, clients, and internal stakeholders to define learning goals and translate requirements into effective instructional solutions. KPI: Positive client satisfaction scores and efficient approval cycles.

· Use learner feedback, data, and performance metrics to evaluate course effectiveness and implement continuous improvements. KPI: Demonstrated improvement in post-launch learner engagement scores and reduced defect rates in future iterations.

· Strengthen and maintain design systems, templates, and processes that support quality, scalability, and consistency across the team. KPI: Adoption rate of standardized templates and reduction in avoidable inconsistencies across projects.

· Stay informed on learning science, instructional trends, and eLearning technologies to guide innovation and best practices within the design team. KPI: Annual implementation of at least two new evidence-based practices or process improvements that enhance team output or learner experience.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
