Job Description The Teamcenter PLM Functional Consultant bridges the gap between business requirements and technical implementation. In this role, you will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise IT teams to understand their product lifecycle processes, design optimal solutions within the Siemens Teamcenter platform, and guide the technical team through deployment. You are the "translator" who ensures the software delivers tangible business value. Key Responsibilities
Requirement Gathering & Analysis: Lead workshops with business stakeholders to map "As-Is" processes and define future "To-Be" PLM workflows.
Solution Design: Author detailed Functional Specification Documents (FSD) and map business requirements to out-of-the-box (OOTB) Teamcenter capabilities, minimizing custom code where possible.
Data Modeling & Configuration: Define data models, item types, attributes, list of values (LOVs), and access control lists (ACLs). Configure Teamcenter organization structures, workflows, and change management processes.
Cross-Functional Integration: Collaborate with technical architects to design integrations between Teamcenter and external systems like ERP (SAP, Oracle) and various CAD tools (NX, Catia, SolidWorks).
Testing & Quality Assurance: Define test scenarios, create user acceptance testing (UAT) scripts, and lead business users through the validation process.
Change Management & Training: Develop training materials and deliver end-user training to drive system adoption across the enterprise.
Work Authorization: Must be a or eligible for a TN Visa (Canadian or Mexican citizens). We are unable to provide H1B sponsorship or processing for this position.
Technical & Functional Expertise
Core Teamcenter Modules: Deep functional knowledge of Teamcenter modules such as My Teamcenter, Workflow Designer, Structure Manager, Change Management (CMII standard preferred), Schedule Manager, and Classification.
BMIDE Configuration: Strong understanding of the Business Modeler IDE (BMIDE) for data model configuration.
CAD/ERP Alignment: Solid grasp of CAD Data Management and Bill of Materials (BOM) management (EBOM, MBOM, BOP).
Soft Skills & Professional Experience
Experience: Typically requires 5 10 years of experience in PLM implementation, with at least 4 years specifically focused on Teamcenter.
Domain Knowledge: Strong background in industries like Automotive, Aerospace & Defense, Industrial Machinery, or High-Tech Electronics.
Communication: Exceptional listening and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical PLM concepts to non-technical business leaders.
