Position Overview:
We’re seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial maintenance and electrical/mechanical troubleshooting. This is a hands-on role, focused on ensuring the reliability and performance of manufacturing equipment in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Disassemble, inspect, and repair or replace mechanical and electrical components
- Diagnose machine issues using electrical and mechanical theory, as well as PLC logic
- Adjust equipment to meet required specifications and ensure smooth operations
- Perform functional and electrical testing on equipment
- Read and work from complex schematics, manuals, and test procedures
- Troubleshoot defective printed circuit boards
- Maintain a strong focus on safety and compliance with company policies
- Report abnormal conditions and support continuous improvement
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution
- 3 years of manufacturing maintenance experience in an industrial electrical/mechanical trade
- Experience with ladder logic, industrial motor control schematics, and blueprint reading
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Must currently reside within 50 miles of Syracuse, NY
Preferred Qualifications:
- CNC maintenance experience
- Background in machining and electrical systems
- Associate degree in electronics or military electronics training
- Experience with hydraulic systems
