What are the responsibilities and job description for the Guard II position at Integriward LLC?
GENERAL JOB SUMMARY: Perform internal armed guard services to include but not limited to, vehicle and personnel entry control points (ECP), perimeter towers, internal roving patrols, mobile patrols and armed and unarmed escort.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide the required armed manning at designated ECPs to detect, identify, report, and guard against unauthorized personnel and contraband, as well as instruments of damage and destruction to prevent threats from entering the installation.
- Provide the required armed manning at designated towers, internalexternal control points, and internalexternal roving patrols to detect, identify, report, and guard against unauthorized personnel and contraband, as well as instruments of damage and destruction in order to prevent threats from entering the installation.
- Coordinate the receipt, issuance, and tracking of keys, key cards, lock combinations, vehicle passes/decals, etc.
- Monitor non-badged Local Nationals working on base construction, maintenance, repair, housekeeping, and grounds keeping projects.
- Perform screener duties by searching visitors, their vehicles, and their belongings.
- Maintain logbooks and complete security-related reports.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
- Associate Degree in a security or law enforcement related field, or two (2) years' experience in physical security (armed or unarmed).
- Valid Georgia firearm/guard license must be maintained throughout employment.
- Obtain a successful pre-employment physical examination by a licensed physician certifying to his/her ability to perform the duties of this position.
- Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the public in a professional and effective manner.
- Must have complete availability to work all shifts, to include holidays and weekends.
- Ability to provide high quality security services to protect people and property, while maintaining proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons
- Must have a working knowledge and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and driving history must meet company standards throughout employment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment and to obtain access to federal installations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: Ability to work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow, or heat. Must be able to don all required personal protective gear and physically execute assigned duties. Able to perform security guard services, at any security posting for up to 12 hours, often in austere conditions to include extreme heat, cold, wind, dust, rain, or snow. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time along with physical exertion such as walking, climbing stairs, and lifting while wearing required personal protective gear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
