Carpenter

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

The Carpenter is responsible for installing lighting for basements and garages at housing units in Piegan, MT and replacing and upgrading window blinds at housing units in Del Bonita, MT in accordance with specifications and established safety guidelines.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install new LED lighting in the basements and garages of (16) single family housing units.
• Remove any existing lighting that is not needed after the installation of the new LED lighting.
• Install window blinds at all windows and (2) sliding doors.
• Ensure that the blinds operate correctly after installation and prior to leaving the site.
• Dispose of any left-over materials and/or scraps.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, and procedures, including safety procedures and the maintenance of a clean work area.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) Certificate.
• A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Carpenter.
• Must provide and maintain your own set of professional tools.
• Must have knowledge of equipment, materials, methods, practices, and tools used in the Carpentry field.
• Must have a working knowledge and comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and driving history must meet company standards throughout employment.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and a background check as a condition of employment and to obtain access to federal installations.
