Our client is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a team of 5–6 engineers within a fast-paced printing and packaging 24x7 environment.
In this role you'll create and drive process improvements, optimizing manufacturing performance, and leading cross-functional initiatives to support production efficiency, quality, and cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 5–6 Manufacturing Engineers
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Supply Chain to improve overall plant performance
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality
- Oversee equipment validation, process development, and production readiness for new and existing products
- Manage capital projects, including equipment upgrades and new technology implementation
- Establish and track KPIs related to productivity, scrap reduction, and process capability
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related field required)
- 8 years of manufacturing engineering experience, preferably within the printing, packaging, or related industry
- 4 years of leadership experience managing engineering teams
- Strong cross-functional experience working with multiple departments in a manufacturing setting
- Proven track record of implementing process improvements and driving operational excellence
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Background in printing, packaging, or high-speed production environments
- Experience with automation, process optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with ERP systems and data-driven decision making
