What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sheet Metal Worker position at Integrity Staffing Services, Inc.?
We have an exciting opportunity for Sheet Metal Mechanics in Newport News, VA with one of our Clients in the Ship Building Industry.
Qualifications:
- At least three or more years of experience as a first-class Sheet Metal Worker in the installation of foundations, ventilation, bulkheads, shipboard furniture, and sheet metal fabrication shop work. Marine experience preferred.
- Aircraft/Industrial/Commercial sheet metal experience is acceptable as well.
Required Skills:
- Comprehend ventilation assembly drawings, blueprints, and sketches to include weld symbols, material types, datum and reference lines.
- Ability to comprehend fractional and decimal dimensions with the use of a ruler.
- Layoff piece parts for fabrication and assembly
- Ability to assemble piece parts in accordance with specifications
- Experience working in a physically demanding environment
- Experience using small hand tools (electric drills, grinders, rivet guns), and shop equipment (drill press, press break, Shears etc.).
Hours:
- Must be open and flexible to any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd)
Pay:
- Local: Up to $27.31/hour
- Non-Local: Up to $27.31/hour $135 per diem
