Job Opportunity: ITAD ASSISTANT
A client of ours located in Tualatin is looking for an ITAD Assistant.
Contract position with potential for permanent hire based on performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the ITAD Administrator with sorting, categorizing, and organizing IT equipment and materials
- Assist the ITAD Administrator with testing and selling equipment
- Prepare equipment for shipment, including packaging, labeling, and palletizing as needed
- Use hand and power tools to disassemble, sort, and prepare electronic equipment for recycling or resale while following safety and environmental guidelines
- Perform disassembly tasks efficiently while maintaining precision and attention to detail
- Assist with receiving and outgoing shipments of misc. electronics
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times
- Perform light-duty cleaning tasks such as sweeping, wiping surfaces, disposing of trash, and breaking down cardboard
- Maintain organized workspaces, storage areas, and inventory locations
- Help manage packaging and shipping materials (boxes, pallets, shrink wrap, labels, etc.)
- Perform basic visual inspections of equipment for condition and completeness
- Follow established procedures for handling, tracking, and securing IT assets
- Adhere to safety, security, and data protection protocols
- Perform miscellaneous organizational and support tasks assigned
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Basic familiarity with computers or electronic equipment is a plus
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and established processes
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Experience in warehouse, logistics, recycling, or ITAD environments
- Interest in working with electronics and electronic components
- Basic familiarity with computers or electronic equipment is a plus
- Ability to safely operate basic hand and power tools; experience disassembling electronic equipment preferred
- Detail-oriented with the ability to complete tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy and precision
- Basic shipping/receiving experience (FedEx, UPS, LTL, etc.)
- Familiarity with inventory or asset tracking systems
- Ability to lift and move up to [50 lbs.]
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Comfortable working in a warehouse or operations environment
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30AM – 3PM (Starts full-time, schedule adjusts to business needs.)
Pay: $20/hr.
