About the Role:
We’re looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Business Office Manager to oversee the financial and administrative operations of our assisted living community. This position works closely with the Administrator to ensure smooth daily operations, accurate billing and payroll, and compliance with state and company policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage Accounts Payable (AP)
- Manage and verify resident benefit setup, transfers, and payments to ensure timely and accurate facility reimbursement
- Process payroll and support staff with pay or HR questions
- Prepare and file Medicaid, SA, SSI, and other resident financial documents
- Maintain accurate financial records, bank reconciliations, and petty cash
- Oversee resident trust fund accounts and ensure compliance with NC regulations
- Assist with hiring paperwork, staff files, and HR recordkeeping
- Communicate regularly with corporate accounting and operations teams
Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in business office, accounting, or administrative management (healthcare or senior living preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word (pivot tables a plus)
- Knowledge of NC Adult Care Home or Medicaid processes preferred
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to research discrepancies, resolve issues, and support budgeting and forecasting efforts
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Associate degree in Business, Accounting, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
